Native Issues keep informed, share information, build allies that may help break the barriers caused by the media and government distortion of the facts. Word history Archives: This is an excellent site with articles well written from a variety of sources such as Washington Post, Lawyers, etc. Congress of Aboriginal Peoples: This is an excellent site with educational articles written by University Professors, scholars, etc. American Indian Movement: This organization, commonly known as AIM started out as a group that would fight to protect elders, women and children of Native descent. This is their official site. AIM’s popular members were Leonard Peltier, John Trudell, Dennis Banks, Anna Mae Aquash, and Russell Means to name just a few. They continue to go where there is injustice to the First Nations and assist in bringing justice and education to all. Leonard Peltier: Leonard Peltier was wrongfully convicted for murdering two FBI agents in a stand-off on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota in 1975. FBI as well as the U.S. and Canadian governments have shown and proven that evidence was fabricated, witnesses coerced into testimony and still he remains in prison. Another site to check out for updates is the site of Leonard’s Defense Committee. Anna Mae Pictou Aquash: Anna Mae was a rising star in the AIM organization. She was executed in December of 1975 as a result of suspicions by members of the very group she fought so hard for. This site is maintained by her precious daughters who only wish to see justice done – hopefully in their lifetime.
Oneidas For Democracy: Our people are requesting your help in contacting the key US officials to initiate an immediate investigation into the current human, civil and religious rights violations taking place
